Performance-Oriented Drone Prototype

A self-designed, flight-capable 6S prototype whose testing exposed resonance, cooling and centre-of-gravity problems. Revision 2 combines a rigid 7-inch carbon frame with a custom aerodynamic body and an entirely new set of primary components.

  • Load-bearing frame and body designed in Onshape across 4–5 major iterations
  • PA-CF revision built, tuned and flight-tested; three core weaknesses identified
  • Revision 2: components ordered, first CAD state complete and design development continuing

Live Knife Detection Prototype

A functional research prototype built on a self-recorded dataset of 4,742 images, trained to a measured mAP@0.5 of 0.844 and deployed live on laptop and NVIDIA Jetson hardware.

  • Self-recorded dataset: 731 knife images and 4,011 without a knife
  • A two-class label split was tested against one class and rejected on the measured result
  • Operating cost modelled: review labour dominates, and halving false positives returns a factor of eight

  • Independently designed and implemented a SharePoint and Power Automate workflow that replaces incomplete email requests with structured mandatory fields, automated responses and reminders
  • Reduced avoidable follow-up questions and improved traceability by storing request data in a central list
  • Test products, internal projects and demos using defined procedures; prepare configuration, accessories, documentation, packaging and shipment to partners and other offices

My fascination for engineering began when I built and modified nitro-powered RC cars with my father. That early curiosity developed into the ambition to design increasingly complex hardware and software systems independently.

I chose Industrial Engineering because technical feasibility alone is not enough for a good product. I am most interested in work where performance, cost, manufacturability and real-world value have to be considered together.
